Natural Regions Gallery

Indiana State Museum

The Indiana State Museum needed a turnkey exhibit partner to execute a full gallery renovation. They required guaranteed delivery under a compressed, non-negotiable timeline.

Taylor Studios met the challenge by implementing exemplary project management and strategically overlapping design and fabrication phases. Our proven flexibility and commitment ensured the project was completed on time, meeting the client’s firm deadline and guaranteeing the grand opening’s success.

We designed and fabricated the stunning Natural Regions section, an interpretive exhibit that takes visitors on a journey through the state’s environments using immersive dioramas.

Key Exhibit Features:

Thematic Environments: Visitors walk through detailed, large-scale scenes comparing the 1800s world to the landscape today.

Multi-Sensory Interactives: Engagement is maximized through crawl-through caves, dynamic soundscapes, animated projections, and a “sticky floor” tactile experience.

Conservation Messaging: The exhibit culminates in a powerful conservation exhibit. The stark contrast between the historical and modern environments delivers a high-impact message on the importance of natural resource preservation.
