Who says you need high-tech to have a successful exhibit? The most memorable exhibits for my children when we visited the Lewis and Clark Interpretive Center were the ones that weren’t plugged in.
The buffalo pelt Quinten tried on was too heavy for him and he fell to the floor.
Maddy loved every minute of it.
After Quinten stuck that hatchet in the log all he wanted to do for the next hour was find out more about who used a hatchet and why it was important. I enjoyed the experience as well.
Multi-touch tables, 4-D theaters, touch-screen interactives, and augmented reality displays are all excellent media for exhibits but sometimes you just can’t beat simple.
