Last week a client from PA forwarded an article on The National Civil War Museum in Harrisburg from The Patriot News. We fabricated 35 life cast figures and most of the scenic elements in the museum. I can’t believe 10 years have gone by since we completed the installation of those exhibits. I can still remember the kick off meeting where George Hicks, the museum director at the time, set the bar high. He told us the life cast figures will make or break the exhibit. The visitor must feel the emotion through the figures. He wanted to see tears from his visitors.
I believe our work on the figures certainly helped achieve this grand ambition. Our mission is to create experiences that inspire people. The article speaks of how the museum brings the Civil War a little closer to home. Visitors get to see the war up close and personal. It brings it to life. It talks of the museum’s great strength of bringing the viewer “eye to eye” with history.
