Iroko Tree
Cleveland Museum of Art
The Cleveland Museum of Art presented a unique challenge: bringing an artist’s vision to life by fabricating a life-sized Iroko tree, entirely covered in fabric, for a performance installation. Taylor Studios’ production team applied thoughtful design engineering to create a sturdy, yet easily disassembled structure. This clever construction ensured the monumental art piece could be efficiently broken down for shipping and simple installation. The resulting beautiful, custom-fabricated tree became a powerful focal point for the space, evoking a sense of home for the performing artist. Crucially, its robust, modular design guarantees the unique art installation can be shipped and reassembled for future exhibitions, demonstrating our capability to deliver highly custom, complex, and functional museum exhibit props and sculptural elements for cultural institutions.
