A Stack For Your Backpack

Almost a year ago I showed you this rendering:
The design was for in north central Pennsylvania, a rather remote area. We recently completed our second (and final) install trip to the site. I am pleased to say the finished exhibit looks great.
Being a part of a company that creates experiences like this is very rewarding. I’m envious of the visitors, actually. I don’t think I’ll ever see this exhibit in person. Even if I did, working in this industry gives you a kind of museum X-ray vision. You wonder what’s going on underneath the skin of every exhibit you see. You can’t see a museum the way you used to. I look at the backpacker above and I see the amazing steel framework that holds it together, hidden in the hiker’s leg and extending out the back into the rockwork behind him. Our Lead Exhibit Designer for this project was the model for the hiker, which involved . And even though the hiker is the “Wow!” to grab the visitor’s attention, the whole exhibit is a lot of fun.
