Taylor Studios is an interesting company. From our talented Exhibit Design team and incredible Exhibit Fabricators, to our admin staff we all share a passion for creating exhibits that are inspiring and memorable. We are versatile and diverse in developing scenic environments that meet the vision of our clients. The images below show Hyper-Realistic Exhibits and whimsical Themed Environment experiences all created by Taylor Studios.

Marsh

Sometimes the small details make the biggest impact. Take a look at the sunbathing turtle on the fallen tree to the right. Immersion is part of creating the connection between your guests and the message you are conveying. Here in this marsh scene, we included a floor with the right amount of ‘squish’ so guests can actually feel like they are walking in a marsh. https://www.flickr.com/photos/taylor-studios-inc/albums/72157677132223406

Glacier Wall

Few people will ever experience exploring an actual glacier, but all should experience the importance of their existence. We designed and built this exhibit at the Indiana State Museum This glacier entry for the ice age exhibit is engaging, educational, and immersive. Our team felt just like this kid did when we were working on it too! https://www.flickr.com/photos/taylor-studios-inc/albums/72157677132223406

Banana Peel

Sometimes exhibits requires odd elements. Like a banana peel. Is it real or is it a fraud? Of course, this is a model that was fabricated by our artists. We think it could easily blend into a scenic environment!

Themed Environment Experiences Natural History Exhibits and Themed Environments are some of what we do, we also love creating the whimsical and fun exhibits as well. We have worked with a few Public Libraries to design and build Early Learning spaces for their communities. Understanding how younger visitors learn and interact with the world around them is key and provides a wonderful lens to look through when designing and fabricating these types of projects.

Book Mountain

How fun is this? A giant exaggerated scale stack of books with a youth dressed up as an astronaut pointing into space. There’s a rocket ship blasting out from the book and speeding past two suspended planets at the top of the stack.

Muskegan Submarine

The fabricators in our shop had just as much fun building the submarine as the children did playing in it. Children love making the windmill turn and crawling on the fish models in this exhibit.

Surface51 Robot

Why not a robot? Our client loved old metal toy robots and wanted a “Wow” piece for their office just for fun. The robot says key phrases used by the company, has programmed lights that illuminate at specific times, plays music for the office, and has a mini bar compartment in the back for times of celebration. Take that, Alexa.

Purina Farms

We redesigned the visitor center experience at Purina Farms. The entire exhibit is interactive for their human and non-human visitors. We love our clients, even the furry ones!

Commercial Cabinetry In addition to the scenic environments and exhibits we also build custom furniture and cabinetry.

Reception Desk

Custom built reception desk with clean lines.

So, as you can see, we do a large variety of work for different venues and markets. We’re proud to say our talented team does lots of things well. There’s so much more we could share, check out our Flicker page to see more of the work we have done over many years https://www.flickr.com/photos/taylor-studios-inc/

In closing We’ll leave you with this image. Is this a guy in our shop dressed up and ready for a reenactment or is it a life-cast figure for a Civil War Museum? Send us your comments and let us know what you think!
